Product Overview

Alfalfa is one of the most nutritious forages available, rich in protein, fibre, calcium and vitamins that support milk yield and animal condition. Our hay is cut at the right maturity, sun- or barn-cured to preserve leaf and colour, and pressed into transport-efficient bales. We control moisture to prevent mould and heating during shipment.

Single- and double-compressed bales are available to suit container economics, and we can supply spot loads or scheduled contracts.

Applications

Alfalfa hay is fed to dairy and beef cattle, horses, camels, sheep, goats and rabbits as a high-protein forage. It is used in total mixed rations, as a standalone forage and in the pet and equine markets, and can be further processed into pellets and cubes.

Packaging & Loading

Hay is compressed into single- or double-compressed bales, strapped and, where required, shrink-wrapped for container loading. A 40ft high-cube container maximises tonnage, and net weights are confirmed on the proforma invoice.

Quality & Compliance

Each lot is checked for protein, moisture, colour and leaf retention, and shipped with a certificate of analysis. Phytosanitary certificate, fumigation and origin documents are provided as required by the destination market.

Export Markets

We export alfalfa hay to dairy and livestock buyers in the UAE, Asia and across Africa through Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, handling both trial and contract volumes.

Sourcing & Quality Assurance

Behind every shipment is a sourcing network built over years of working with farmers, cooperatives and processors across the region. We select each lot for condition and consistency, then clean, grade and condition it to the standard your market expects. Because we follow the crop from field to port, we can hold quality steady across repeat orders and give buyers the confidence to plan their own production with certainty.

Food safety and traceability sit at the centre of how we operate. Consignments are prepared under hygienic conditions, tested against the agreed specification, and documented with a certificate of analysis and certificate of origin. Where a destination requires extra paperwork — phytosanitary certificates, fumigation records or health certificates — we arrange it as part of the order so clearance at the other end is smooth.

Logistics & Long-Term Partnership

Reliable delivery is what turns a first order into a lasting relationship. We coordinate packing, container loading and shipment from the ports of Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, and keep you updated at each milestone so there are no surprises. Whether you need a single trial container of Alfalfa Hay or a scheduled monthly programme, our team structures pricing, payment and delivery around the way your business actually runs.
