Product Overview
Used railway rails are a premium heavy-melting steel scrap because of their high carbon content and clean, consistent metallurgy. We supply R50 (approx. 50 kg/m) and R65 (approx. 65 kg/m) sections, either as melting scrap or as relay/serviceable rails for re-rolling into bars and sections. Rails are inspected, sorted and cut to buyer length before loading.
We prepare loads to a buyer’s specification for section, length and condition, and ship in containers or as break-bulk for larger tonnage.

Applications
Used rails are melted as heavy-melting scrap in electric-arc and induction furnaces, or re-rolled into reinforcement bars, angles and light sections. Serviceable rails are also reused in sidings, cranes and industrial track.
Packaging & Loading
Rails are loaded loose or bundled into 20ft/40ft containers, or shipped break-bulk for bulk tonnage. Piece lengths and net weights are confirmed on the proforma invoice, and loading is supervised for weight and condition.
Quality & Compliance
Each consignment is sorted and inspected for section, length and cleanliness, with weighbridge tickets and, on request, SGS quantity and quality verification. Certificate of origin and export documentation are provided for every shipment.
Export Markets
We export used rail scrap to re-rolling mills and foundries in Asia, the UAE and beyond through Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, handling trial containers and bulk contracts.

Preparation & Metal Recovery
Clean, well-prepared feedstock is what smelters and mills pay a premium for, so every load is sorted to remove contaminants and cut to the size and grade the buyer specifies. Careful preparation improves metal recovery, protects furnace efficiency and keeps downstream processing costs down — the details that matter when margins are tight and volumes are large.
Consistency is backed by process. Material is weighed on a certified weighbridge, documented, and where required verified by an independent inspector before it leaves origin, so tonnage and quality are confirmed on both sides. This discipline is why buyers trust us with repeat contracts rather than one-off spot deals.
Logistics & Long-Term Partnership
We manage the full chain from yard to vessel, coordinating loading and shipment from the ports of Mombasa and Dar es Salaam and keeping you informed at every stage. Whether you take a single container of Used Rails or a recurring monthly tonnage, we structure pricing, payment and delivery around your production schedule and cash-flow needs.
